What is a CSA?

That’s a common question we get from our customers. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a way of purchasing produce or meat from local farmers in your community . By becoming a member of our CSA, you are purchasing a “share” of meat from our farm.
Investing in a CSA is a great way to support local farms in your community. It’s a way to ensure that you are purchasing the freshest, highest quality meat or produce in your area. When you become a CSA member, you are buying in bulk which ultimately saves you money. CSA members also have the benefit of meeting their local farmers and are often welcome to visit their farms.
To become a member of Bane Family Meats’ CSA, we offer a few options. You may buy 5lbs, 10 lbs, or 20 lbs of meat or poultry each month for 6-12 months. Monthly deliveries include beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and/or turkey. Each monthly bundle will vary and pasture-raised eggs can be added for $5 a dozen per month. You can pick up your CSA at the farm or we will deliver your CSA to your home or business for free.

What do you feed your livestock?

Our cattle are fed a diet that consists of 95% grass and hay, as well as 2-5% grain. The reason we feed our cattle a small amount of grain is to provide them with adequate vitamins and minerals. The use of grain also helps in guiding the cattle when moving them to different pastures.

Our pigs and poultry are fed a diet that consists of 95% NON-GMO  grain and 5-10% pasture.

What’s the minimum order amount?

There is none!
